Site Speed Issues?

Site speed is important for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s a ranking factor for Google and Google makes up over 94% of search engine traffic. Secondly, it directly impacts the user experience. If your site is slow, people are going to leave before they even see what you have to offer.

There are a few things that can impact site speed, but the most common issues are hosting and plugins. If you’re on a shared host, your site is going to be slower than if you’re on a dedicated server. Upgrading your hosting and adding features like image CDN can fix the speed.

Another factor is the code your websites tempalte is built on and number of plugins you’re using. The more code and plugins you have, the longer it takes for your site to load. Poor coding delays the loading of important information and clunky text editors like Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder can slow down a site drastically as well.

Removal of plugins can prove to be a tricky endeavor, often times resulting in a broke website. The solution to this is lots of A/B testing on a sandbox server and plenty of backups.
